Both children and adults dressed up as superheroes on Friday to raise money for Children in Need. Some adults and children even wore their underpants on the outside of their clothes!
The School Choir were particularly busy in the evening, performing a number of times live on the national and local Children in Need programme. They have also appeared in the Telegraph and Argus newspaper too! You can watch the choir perform by clicking the link below.
Well done everyone who took part; we raised over £440 for Children in Need.
“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” Acts 20:35
The whole school came together this morning to celebrate our Harvest Festival. We were visited by Frances Atkins from the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank who gratefully received our food donation to help families in need. She was also delighted to accept a cheque for over £500 from money raised by our School Council and some bake sales in Key Stage Two!
The School Choir also sang to two songs, Lean On Me and Love Can Build A Bridge. Francis explained that the logo for the Bradford Food Bank has a bridge on it with two people meeting, one giving food to the other.

Year 6 led the assembly in preparation for their Harvest Worship at St Christopher’s Church on Sunday. The School Choir will also be singing some songs on Sunday too! Everyone is very welcome to come along too.

Some of Year 5 Laurel class went out to Bierley Court with Mrs Lawley and Mr Sadler to sing some carols for the residents. We all had a great time and the audience were really impressed with the standard of the singing. We even got to sing Happy Birthday to one of the residents, who was celebrating their 90th birthday that day!
