Extreme Readers prize!

Today our competition winners visited the Children’s Bookshop in Lindley to choose and take home their own reading books. There were lots of books to choose from so all the children took their time to make sure they selected the perfect book for home.  After they chose their books, they enjoyed reading them in the café with juice and a HUGE cookie. We all had a lovely afternoon and wish we could do it every day!

Extreme Reading Challenge – Winners

Here are the winners of our Extreme Reading Challenge. It was a very difficult decision to make as all the entries were fantastic but a big well done to the following children:

Nursery: Annabel
Reception: Finley
Year 1: Crystal
Year 2: Grace
Year 3: Zac
Year 4: Alfie
Year 5: Charlie
Year 6: Ashton

As their prize, children will either be receiving a book voucher or they will be joining Miss Shaw and Mrs Lawley on a special trip to the Children’s Bookshop next Tuesday.

Extreme Reading Challenge

A huge well done and thank you to all the children and staff who took part in the Extreme Reading Challenge. We had over 100 entries and it has been wonderful to see so many of you reading in different and unusual places. The staff and children loved seeing all the entries in our assembly on Thursday.

Bee bots in Key Stage 1

Children in year 1 and 2 have been exploring the use of Bee bots and pro bots as part of their computing lessons. Children have worked in groups to complete challenges; returning to their instructions to try and make them more accurate or efficient.

Children persevered with each challenge and did not give in. If it was not a perfect finish then it was back to the start to try and improve their program.

‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ Key One Christmas performance

Another amazing Christmas performance from our wonderfully talented Key Stage One children! Their show, called ‘Lights Camel Action’ was based around the hit show ‘Strictly come Dancing’, and really gave the children a chance to show off their singing and dancing skills. We are all very proud of them!
