On Tuesday the 7th March Mr Qualter took four children from year 4 to compete in the annual Tong High Mini Tennis competition. The children played six matches each against other Schools from within the area.On the day there was some fantastic tennis played from every competitor which made the standard of the tournament very high.St Johns C E Primary School finished in first place and will go on to represent the area in the Bradford Summer Games. A big well done to everybody who took part.

As their prize, children will either be receiving a book voucher or they will be joining Miss Shaw and Mrs Lawley on a special trip to the Children’s Bookshop next Tuesday.
A huge well done and thank you to all the children and staff who took part in the Extreme Reading Challenge. We had over 100 entries and it has been wonderful to see so many of you reading in different and unusual places. The staff and children loved seeing all the entries in our assembly on Thursday.
Children in Key Stage 2 have been using the Spheros as part of their computing work this half term. Children have been exploring how increasing the speed changes stopping distance whilst also looking for the most effective way of getting from a-to-b as part of various challenges. Children have needed refine their code to ensure it works.
German club have been getting into the Christmas spirit this week by learning and performing the song ‘Silent Night’ in German.
