Nursery Balloon Race

Nursery released helium filled balloons today as part of our topic ‘Up, Up and Away.’ The children are very excited about where their balloons might go.

Here are some of the suggestions from the children about where their balloons might end up-

Emily – Australia

Lyndon- The moon

Wiktor- Poland

Lola- My house

Max- America

Grace – Upto heaven to see my nana

I wonder whose balloon will travel the furthest?

We shall keep you posted!

Foundation visit to Ponderosa

Foundation enjoyed a very sunny trip to Ponderosa this week. In the morning, we had a tour of the farm where we got up close with the animals and a ride on Badger or Silver Fox, the Ponderosa ponies. After a picnic in the sunshine we spent the afternoon playing in the sand, building sandcastles and hunting for the buried treasure on the beach. We also got the chance to burn off lot’s of energy in the play barn, before returning back to school. The excitement of the day had been too much for most children and they spent the journey back to school snoring!

Don’t forget to ask your child about their day, the animals they met and all the fascinating things we found out.

Special visitors in Nursery

Nursery have been very busy learning about different types of birds this half term and this morning we had some very special visitors. Molly and Herbie the owls flew into Nursery. Get your child to tell you all about the exciting things that they found out!

‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ at Bierley woods

As part of our topic on bear’s this half term, Nursery have been busy planning a ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ at Bierley woods. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity for the children to observe the changes in the season.

A fun day was had by all but we had lots of tired children, staff and teddies afterwards!
