Spheros in Key Stage 2

Children in Key Stage 2 have been using the Spheros as part of their computing work this half term. Children have been exploring how increasing the speed changes stopping distance whilst also looking for the most effective way of getting from a-to-b as part of various challenges. Children have needed refine their code to ensure it works.

Bee bots in Key Stage 1

Children in year 1 and 2 have been exploring the use of Bee bots and pro bots as part of their computing lessons. Children have worked in groups to complete challenges; returning to their instructions to try and make them more accurate or efficient.

Children persevered with each challenge and did not give in. If it was not a perfect finish then it was back to the start to try and improve their program.

Reception and Nursery Christmas Production

The children were absolute stars in this Year’s show, ‘Away in a Manger’. From the beautiful singing to their lovely loud voices, the children really impressed everyone; their teachers are very proud of them. Well done to Nursery children too who got up and sung on the stage for the very first time… they were wonderful!

‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ Key One Christmas performance

Another amazing Christmas performance from our wonderfully talented Key Stage One children! Their show, called ‘Lights Camel Action’ was based around the hit show ‘Strictly come Dancing’, and really gave the children a chance to show off their singing and dancing skills. We are all very proud of them!

Art Gallery

The art gallery has had an update. Current work includes photography from year 6, painted fireworks from nursery, watercolours from year 2 and pencil work from year 5 and 4. Year 3 produced artwork as part of their family day visit to Cartwright Hall in Bradford.
